EXACTLY. HUGE Led Zeppelin fan here, and I was unbelievably surprised to learn they hadn’t won a Grammy. That’s blasphemous! The Grammys are lame. The Album of the Year noms were but only a taste of how horrible the music industry has become. I like Taylor Swift, but only cause it’s like…how the hell can you hate the girl? Her songs are catchy, and she’s adorbz.
I’m not gonna go on another long rant, but I just want to say there’s a different between music that’s strictly for entertainment value and music that’s meant to change the game. There were very few artists nominated this year that were game changers. I always thought the Grammys acknowledged musical pioneers, not manufactured pop artists. I guess I was wrong. No use in complaining, though. Grammys don’t mean shit to me anymore.
Although, I will admit, I’ve changed my opinion on Rihanna. Girl, is fierce as hell!!! Her music is catchy like the rest, but I’m lovin’ her choice in fashion lately. She’s edgy and fashion forward without seeming like an attention whore. LOVE HER RIGHT NOW!
