I’m doing it again, abandoning this blog…

What better way to try to restart it than by letting you know what’s been taking up my time? Lately, I’ve been spending my free time watching movies…lots of ‘em. I’ve been in a scary movie kick, as of late, and if you know me, I’m a wimp when it comes to scary movies. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve somehow mustered enough balls to watch scary movies now. So you’ll probably notice a good chunk of this list as films of that ilk. I have very eclectic tastes, so don’t be surprised if this list looks a little odd to you.

1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - I am a Potter fanatic, and yes, I stayed in line to watch the midnight showing. Let’s get a few things straight: I’m a huge fan of the movies, but an even bigger fan of the books. My favorite book was The Half-Blood Prince, but it was my least favorite film. The DH book was fantastic, and I had high hopes for this 2-part finale. I was extremely satisfied with Part 1, so I had even higher expectations for Part 2. The verdict? After watching this film, I can honestly say it’s my favorite film of the series, hands down. Absolutely breathtaking. I cried a lot, but it was the perfect way to end one of the most epic fantasy adventures of all time. 
2. Let The Right One In - My brother had been urging me to watch this movie for the past couple of years, but I was against it because it was a horror film. However, because I’m in a horror movie zone right now, I decided to give it a try. First of all, it’s not scary, at least I didn’t think it was. Gruesome, at times, but not really. Second of all, it’s a charming little love story involving vampires. No this isn’t Twilight. Twilight doesn’t hold a candle to this movie. With that said, this was quite possibly one of the best films I’ve ever seen. It was that good. Highly recommended.
